ACRU Commentary Fifth Column Enemies Its been documented that before Pearl Harbor and our entry into WWII on Dec.8, 1941, a very sophisticated Japanese and Japanese-American 5th column network had been established not only along our West Coast, but down through Central and So America as well. (Dept.of Defense volumes on Breaking the Magic Code) Much earlier, however, there are other historical accounts of 5th columns causing the ultimate defeat of large nations. Napoleon, leader of the French Army is said to have stood outside his tent with several aides, a biographer and a journalist. In the distance stood the most fortified castle in Europe. "Once this city is taken," he declared, "nothing will stop my campaign, and I'll soon be Emperor of France." The journalist replied that the castle and fortified city had been there over 800 years, and never had fallen to an enemy. He asked how the General could take the city with only 5 army columns. Napoleon described how 4 of his columns were then approaching the city. Asked about his 5th column, Napoleon smiled. "My 5th column, some 50 men, came 4 months ago. As we speak, they are breaking bread, sharing wine, and making friends with the gate keepers at the four main gates." As evening came, Napoleon ordered his aides to build evenly spaced signal bonfires and to keep them burning high. The gate keepers were clubbed to death, the huge gates swung open, and Napoleon's soldiers marched through. The "fifth columnists" told them where the barracks full of sleeping soldiers were. Napoleon's Captains woke them and said they could join Napoleon to fight under constant supervision, or they'd die right there. The city fell before the sun rose again. And Napoleon did indeed go on to become Emperor of France. We believe the technique of using a fifth column is being practiced today, in both the U.S. and in Israel. Instead of waiting to open the gates, these modern-day fifth columnists (Mexican and other "Third World" illegal aliens in California, and Islamic Arabs in Israel) are quietly increasing their numbers year by year. In the US, by their constant pressure, exceptional, uncalled for welfare, amnesty and bilingual laws have been passed. NAFTA, the last, is another permissive failure. In tiny democratic, pluralistic Israel, the rapidly growing Arab population has been a source of labor, as have illegal aliens here. However, surrounded by 21 totalitarian Arab nations, Israel is being pressured to give land and autonomy to its internal "Palestinian" Arab enemies in exchange for promises of peace. Permissive and dangerous concessions by both democracies, only empower their growing nationalistic minorities, and unless both wake up, the day will come when Californians and Israelis find its too late, that they have been irreversibly changed and weakened. As a population, we may be the "sleeping gatekeepers". |
