August 2003 ACRU, Inc. lauds and supports the actions of Mathew Hoffman and Alexander Dumas in their citizen's arrests of 6 illegal aliens who they turned over to the US border patrol. We also support the "US Special Service" citizens organization for defending the actions of these honorable citizens. At the same time, we denounce the actions of the Yuma County Sheriff and Patricia Orozco, the County Attorney for arresting and charging Hoffman and Dumas for doing what our federal and state governments have failed to do over the years -- enforce our immigration laws. It has also been reported that the two citizen-activists have been charged with multiple felony counts here, and both are jailed in Yuma.
The ACRU is a member of the CCIR (Calif. Coalition for Immigration Reform). We have long denounced national indifference here, promoting Prop 187 and other anti-illegal measures, funding billboards on the Calif.-Ariz. border condemning illegal immigration, etc. We regard the permissive situation as a form of anarchy, jeopardizing the sovereignty of this nation. Members of ACRU's "Criminal Justice Committee" will meet on August 18 to discuss this and other related matters, and will announce our entry into the legal battle of holding our local, state and federal governments accountable for this national, ongoing, illegal outrage. We will consider law suits against individuals and government officials and agencies that flout our immigration laws. Dr. Howard Garber, Director PO Box 17099, Anaheim, CA 92817 (714) 998-6225 Dr. Garber is host of the weekly ACRU TV Report in it 7th year in No Orange County CA. He and a panel will discuss these important issues on an Adelphia TV taping tomorrow. |
