Sheriff Arrests Two California Citizens for Their Citizens Arrest of Six Illegal Aliens: ACRU to Consider Legal Action

ACRU, Inc. lauds and supports the actions of Mathew Hoffman and Alexander Dumas in their citizen's arrests of 6 illegal aliens who they turned over to the US border patrol. We also support the "US Special Service" citizens organization for defending the actions of these honorable citizens. At the same time, we denounce the actions of the Yuma County Sheriff and Patricia Orozco, the County Attorney for arresting and charging Hoffman and Dumas for doing what our federal and state governments have failed to do over the years -- enforce our immigration laws.

It has also been reported that the two citizen-activists have been charged with multiple felony counts here, and both are jailed in Yuma.

Prosecutor Orozco, however has evidently housed the criminal illegals in a Yuma hotel! Say's director Garber, "It's another outrageous example of our officials punishing well motivated citizens for helping uphold our laws, while rewarding lawbreakers. An example of our adapting to and tolerating the intolerable here. Over the years, the apathy of too many Americans and our representatives re the failure of government to control our borders and apprehend/deport illegals, has resulted in a veritable, ongoing invasion of this 'law and order' nation."

The ACRU is a member of the CCIR (Calif. Coalition for Immigration Reform). We have long denounced national indifference here, promoting Prop 187 and other anti-illegal measures, funding billboards on the Calif.-Ariz. border condemning illegal immigration, etc. We regard the permissive situation as a form of anarchy, jeopardizing the sovereignty of this nation.

Members of ACRU's "Criminal Justice Committee" will meet on August 18 to discuss this and other related matters, and will announce our entry into the legal battle of holding our local, state and federal governments accountable for this national, ongoing, illegal outrage. We will consider law suits against individuals and government officials and agencies that flout our immigration laws.
